The red carpet of the presidential office was extended into the Yellow Room with little rugs. On the threshold to the Music Room are several pairs of shoes that provide a symbolic visual marker for the shape of a private space — while also being open to alternative readings. The installation catwalk for the president engages with the construct of spatial, social and representative factors in the series of rooms of the presidential office suite. The site-specific rules and conventions are challenged, the perception of the location's function is deconstructed and shifts.
